I've found Iran Lomeli from Mexico and his disturbing paintings at londonart.co.uk. I wonder if Iran ever paints any other subject than these pubescent girls posing in awkward moments and situations. It seems much of an obsession. There's not much else about Iran online. I can see where the forms are beautiful and appealing but one can't help that feeling of uneasiness, like in films when the camera follows a character and we know that person is being watched or followed. Strange stuff. I do love the paintings though, they are visually very interesting and they certainly make you feel something.
Here Iran's resume:
Born in Mexico in 1972, Iran Francisco Lomeli Bustamante, started painting at the tender age of 17. He initially trained and studied under the guidance of the Master Manuel Ivan Centeno and later under the supervision of the Master Luis Nishizawa. He has exhibited across Mexico and has works in private collections throughout the country.
