I had posted this before -long ago- and deleted it. Now, catching up with the amazing work of Claire Morgan who belittles the floating man, just below. By far, some of my favorite installations, at her website. This is a 2009 work, Fluid.
"An installation made of thousands of decaying strawberries and a taxidermied crow. Part of the exhibition Building With Colour, with works by James Hugonin, Sean Scully, Sian Bowen, Duncan Newton, Helen Baker, Tuesday Nesbitt, James Johnson-Perkins and Claire Morgan. Gallery North, 16.01.09 - 27.02.09, Northumbria University."
"Claire Morgan (born 1980) has gained international notoriety for her installations using organic materials; rotting fruit, growing seeds, taxidermied animals and insects, creating objects and site specific installations, which simultaneously evoke beauty and horror. Sculpting installations from thousands of small fragments of material suspended in geometric precision, Morgan’s work explores material form and space. Perfect order is then disrupted with the intrusion of a taxidermy animal, displacing its geometric surrounding structure." (from here)
