As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light of meaning in the darkness of mere being. — Carl Jung, Memories, Dreams, Reflections ch. II (1962)

i would much rather say: As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a darkness of meaning in the light of mere being.

does that mean i am in any sense becoming religious? i don't think so but debatables are a possibility. and much against the cogito ergo sum. what is cogito anyways?
