não sei exactamente qual a cronologia das situações, mas creio que não há outra cor que tanto simbolize "turkishness" como o vermelho. Pamuk, o autor (whose name is red?) foi precisamente acusado de deficiência de turkishness, o argumento preferido na condenação de escritores.

como bem sabemos com Saramago, se não com Tirésias (cegos somos todos), ver e olhar são coisas diferentes. ver é atribuir significado.

há cegos que não olham mas podem ver. há cegos que não vêem e que até em Saramago poderiam ser chamados infiéis, no sentido de -os que não vêem a verdade, aqueles que apenas alcançam a superfície. (com olhos de ver, o essencial é invisível aos olhos e etc etc). a humanidade na sua fantasiosa existência.
